Adamawa: ‘You Don’t Have The Expertise To Supervise Me, Vunobolki Replies Abbo
As political parties gear up for the 2027 general elections, tensions are already rising among governorship candidates in Adamawa State.
Chief Maurice Vunobolki, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, has dismissed claims by Labour Party (LP) candidate Senator Ishaku Abbo, who alleged that Vunobolki once worked under his supervision.
Vunobolki described the accusations as false and disrespectful, asserting that Abbo lacked the educational, technical, and professional expertise to supervise him.
Vunobolki also criticised Abbo’s strategy, calling it “cheap blackmail” driven by frustration.
He emphasised that his campaign will focus on “People, Prosperity, and Peace,” and condemned Abbo’s claims as obstinate lies and disrespectful.
The PDP candidate recalled his service in 1992 and 1999, assisting late Senator Dr Bala Takaya during his gubernatorial campaigns for Gongola State and later Adamawa. Vunobolki accused Abbo of dishonouring that legacy, urging him to demonstrate the viability of his political agenda.
Additionally, Vunobolki questioned the integrity of a policy document attributed to Abbo, citing an assessment that revealed a 93.7 per cent plagiarism score and a heavy reliance on artificial intelligence tools.
The ongoing exchange reflects the intensifying political rivalry ahead of the forthcoming elections.
