2027: Goronyo Inaugurates BMG Associates North-West Structure For Tinubu/Shettima
The Minister of State for Works, Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, has inaugurated the national and state executive members of Bello Muhammad Goronyo (BMG) Associates for Asiwaju/Shettima 2027.
The Minister charged them to strengthen grassroots engagement and stakeholder mobilisation across the North-West ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement from his media aide in Abuja, Abdullahi Mohammed, the inauguration, which took place at Syde Resort, Kaduna, brought together political leaders, government officials, women and youth groups as well as other stakeholders from across the region.
Speaking at the event, Goronyo highlighted key infrastructure projects being executed by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano road corridor, Zaria-Gusau-Sokoto road, the Kaduna-Kano rail project and the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe corridor.
According to him, the projects are designed to improve connectivity, facilitate trade, create economic opportunities and promote national integration.
The Minister also cited state government programmes such as the student loan scheme and ongoing rail development initiatives as evidence of the administration’s commitment to economic growth and social development.
On the political situation ahead of 2027, Goronyo called for peaceful political engagement, unity and stability, while expressing support for President Tinubu’s second-term bid.
As part of efforts to strengthen the organisation’s operations, the minister presented eight Toyota vehicles to the group, one each for the seven North-West state structures and one for the national executive, to facilitate grassroots mobilisation and coordination.
In his remarks, the Secretary-General and Director of Strategy and Communication of BMG Associates, Engr. Harisu H.M. Jibrila, said the organisation was formed by individuals who worked with Goronyo during the 2023 presidential campaign and were inspired by his leadership qualities and commitment to public service.
Several stakeholders, including the Director-General of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG), Dr. Umar Tanko Yakasai; Kaduna State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hajiya Rabi Salisu; Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC), Hajiya Sa’adatu Dogon Bauchi; and a member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Nasiru Shehu Bodinga, commended the minister’s initiative and urged members of the organisation to deepen grassroots engagement, particularly among youths and women.
Goronyo also paid tribute to former Sokoto State Governor and Senator representing Sokoto North, Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, describing him as a mentor and political leader whose contributions to public service remain significant.
He urged the newly inaugurated executives to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline and accountability while maintaining close engagement with communities across the region.
